Some formats aren’t created simply to expand the programme. They’re created to transform the way we experience things.
Signal Sounds is precisely such a format—a new platform by Signal Space focused on musical events where sound meets light, space, and digital art.
This will not be a concert supplemented by a projection. Signal Sounds is based on site-specific performances where the audiovisual component does not merely accompany the music, but amplifies it and transforms it into a fully immersive experience. The audience thus becomes not just a listener, but a part of the performance itself.
Signal is thus naturally building on what has long been its hallmark—the intersection of culture, innovation, technology, and contemporary digital art. Signal Sounds opens up a new space for formats that are curatorially strong, culturally relevant, and tailored to specific artists, venues, and audiences.
Each edition will explore its own unique approach. Sometimes this will involve a close collaboration between a single performer and a visual artist; other times, it will take the form of a broader artistic program or a community-based format. But one thing remains constant: experiencing music in a way that differs from what we’re used to seeing on standard concert stages.
The first Signal Sounds is coming soon.
