Sunday, April 12, featured a unique fusion of sports and technology at Signal Space. The second edition of the Signal Movement event, created in collaboration with nextmove.cz and BAVSE, combined movement with the immersive world of 360° projections. This format offered participants the opportunity to step outside the routine of typical classes and experience a completely unique concept that pushes the boundaries of modern training.
For one morning, the gallery’s largest 360° room became a place where passive observation was replaced by dynamic movement, flow, and deep concentration.
The program kicked off with an intense Pilates session led by Tereza Solařová, seamlessly followed by a yoga class led by Žofie Picková. At Signal Space, the projections on the walls and floor were not merely a static backdrop, but an active part of the workout. In tune with the music, they defined every movement and drew participants into a profound experience. The event concluded with an After-glow brunch in the Space Break zone, where attendees had the opportunity to network and share their impressions.
The goal of Signal Movement is to profile Signal Space as a place that opens up new ways of experiencing art and builds its own community centered on movement and well-being. This is not just a one-off event, but a long-term platform that connects cultural and lifestyle audiences in a lively, participatory format. Signal Movement demonstrates that modern technology doesn't have to be limited to passive observation, but can become part of an active lifestyle. The growing interest in these classes confirms that the connection between the digital world and physical well-being has a solid place within the gallery space.
The next Signal Movement events won’t be long in coming. Sunday’s atmosphere at Signal Space confirmed that the combination of movement and digital art makes sense and opens up a space that Prague has been missing.
The goal is to constantly push the boundaries of how digital installations can be used. New formats and concepts are currently emerging that will bring even more variety to the gallery’s program. Signal Movement is thus becoming an integral part of Signal Space, where the aesthetics of technology naturally converge with the physical experience.
