About the moderator
Tomáš Dvořák is an economist and Senior Economist on the eurozone team at Oxford Economics, where he produces economic forecasts for Central and Eastern Europe. He studied in Glasgow, at UCL, and at Bocconi University. After ten years in the United Kingdom, he returned to the Czech Republic in 2023.
ŽÁROVKY Foundation
The ŽÁROVKY Foundation is an open platform that connects and supports exceptional young talent under the age of 35 across disciplines—from science, technology, and innovation to the social sciences, culture, and entrepreneurship.
The foundation creates opportunities for young experts and researchers to present their ideas, build key partnerships, and actively contribute to shaping Czech society. Its work rests on three main pillars:
→Impact: Connecting young visionaries with institutions, public authorities, and industry partners so their expertise can help address society-wide challenges.
→Development: Helping community members strengthen their professional expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking.
→Optimism: Sharing inspiring stories of young talent and building bridges between research laboratories, business, and the wider public.
Žárovky’s public talks and evening events introduce audiences to the world of emerging technologies, science, and innovation. Each event brings inspiring young scientists, graduates of leading universities, and startup founders to the stage to show how cutting-edge research is making a tangible difference in everyday life.
