Signal Talks is a new series bringing together artists, designers, performers, makers, technicians and other creative professionals working at the intersection of art and technology. Rather than focusing solely on the finished work, it puts the creative process centre stage – the ideas, experiments, tools and technical challenges that usually remain behind the scenes.
The first guest is Lukáš Dřevjaný aka oxoo, a Prague-based visual artist and lighting designer. His practice spans live audiovisual performances, theatre and original light installations. He works with technologies ranging from digital LED strips and LED matrices to motion tracking, photogrammetry and lasers.
During the evening, he will take you through the process of creating a large-scale immersive audiovisual show. How does a concept born in a digital environment translate into physical space? What roles do light, technology and the audience play? And what technical challenges need to be solved before an immersive experience can truly come to life?
The approximately 30-minute presentation will be followed by an open discussion and Q&A.
